Art Condition Reports for iPhone, iPad, and the web

Art Condition Reports 1.0.0 is the first release of the app. It gives collections teams one place to photograph an object, mark its condition, record its catalogue data, and export a signed PDF condition report.

Condition reports

  • Master images. Add one or more photographs of the object to a report.
  • Annotations. Mark damage directly on a master image with the Pen, Freeform, and Rectangle tools.
  • Detail photographs. Attach close-up photographs to each annotation.
  • Condition types and notes. Give each annotation a condition type and notes. An annotations list shows every mark on the image.
  • Annotation templates. Start from a default list of annotation types, and change it in Settings.

Objects, projects, and tombstone data

  • Projects. Group objects into projects, for example an exhibition or a loan.
  • Tombstone data. Record catalogue fields such as title, artist, and inventory number for each object.
  • Custom tombstone fields. Change the tombstone fields for each object type in Settings.
  • CSV import. Create many objects at once from a spreadsheet. Map the columns to tombstone fields and preview the rows before import.
  • CatalogIt import. Bring objects in from a CatalogIt account.

Signatures and notes

  • Signatures. Sign a report on the device. Save a signature in your profile to use again.
  • Notes. Each note has a timestamp and is linked to the person who wrote it.

PDF export

Export a condition report as a PDF that shows the master images with their annotations, the detail photographs, the tombstone data, and the signatures. Share the PDF from the device.

Accounts and sync

Create an account and sign in on iPad, iPhone, or the web. Your data is stored on the device, so you can work offline. The app syncs your reports and images when a connection is available.
